The EmPowered project is looking at the study of renewable energy, with a particular emphasis on generating electricity from wind and water power. It explores the transition from traditional mills to modern structures and examines the role of wind and water turbines in combating climate change. Artists Jacky Oliver and Matt Hulse will be exploring the Watlinghouse Mill Archives and using this material to develop ideas. They shared both their research and creative practice in a research workshop in May and one with local schools in Jun2024e.
Jacky also created a piece for the archives collection.
